Language: English
Led by Masha Vapnitchnaia

Working with hardy fall flowers, fragrant greens and berries, we'll be making head crowns that will look (and smell!) amazing. During the workshop, you'll get the lowdown on the flowers we're using and their origins, as well as getting practice in using supplies like floral tape and techniques like wiring that are essential for any vase-free floral projects. At the end of the class, you can take your creation home, either atop your regal head or securely packed in a paper bag.

Before launching Mashou, her flower studio in Istanbul, Masha worked in some of New York's best flower shops. falling more and more in love with the beauty, fragility and ingenuity of modern flower arranging. Along with making centerpieces, bridal bouquets, and thematic tablescapes for the Horticultural Society, she loves teaching workshops and sharing her passion and her knowledge.

Her teaching style is easygoing and fun, with the aim of making beautiful flowers and the art of arranging them accessible for anyone who's looking for a creative outlet.

She loves sharing her knowledge about the cut flower industry worldwide and in Turkey, how to tell a fresh rose from one that's on its way out, and how to keep hydrangeas from wilting (hint, the answer's in the flower's name).
