Sunday, 25 October, 13.00 - 16.30
Language: English / Turkish
Led by Gabrielle Reeves

Location: In-person at Nadas OR virtually via live-stream

During this workshop, participants will learn a variety of drawing techniques and build basic knowledge in working with pen and watercolour. Through online instruction, followed by an exploration of their own neighbourhood, participants will learn to create an on location sketch, as a way to respond to their personal surroundings. This workshop is open to all levels, whether you are new to urban sketching or drawing or looking to expand your skills in observation.

For this workshop, you will have the option to join us in-person or online, via live-stream. Five in-person spots will be available on a first-come first-reserve basis. For these participants, the workshop will begin at NADAS’s physical space, followed by sketching in the Yeldegirmeni neighbourhood. For online participants, the workshop will be live streamed through Zoom, followed by sketching in their own neighbourhood. All participants will be provided with one on one instruction regardless of their physical location.

This workshop is inspired by the world-wide Urban Sketching movement. To find out more, visit urbansketchers.org or https://www.facebook.com/groups/VirtualSketch
