Saturday, 28 September, 14.00 - 16.00
Language: English
Led by Masha Vapnitchnaia

During this workshop you'll be working with flowers in rich shades, contrasting foliage and seasonal berries to create a moody autumnal centerpiece that's yours to take home. While you work, you'll also get a crash course in the basic of floral design including how texture, color and shape work together in compositions and techniques that will help you make pieces that reflect your style and personality.

Masha worked in some of New York's best flower shops for almost fifteen years, most recently at Posies, falling more and more in love with the beauty, fragility and ingenuity of modern flower arranging. Along with making centerpieces, bridal bouquets, and thematic tablescapes for the Horticultural Society, she loves teaching workshops and sharing her passion and her knowledge.

Her teaching style is easygoing and fun, with the aim of making beautiful flowers and the art of arranging them accessible for anyone who's looking for a creative outlet.

She loves sharing her knowledge about the cut flower industry worldwide and in Turkey, how to tell a fresh rose from one that's on its way out, and how to keep hydrangeas from wilting (hint, the answer's in the flower's name).
