This workshop takes place using the online platform, Zoom. 

In this online series, participants will be introduced to portrait drawing. The series will cover a variety of drawing techniques as well as basics of facial proportions and human expression. From the comfort of their homes, participants will be divided into pairs and guided to draw one another while facing their partner across the screen - working to bridge the gap in connection between people during this period of social distancing. This series is open to all levels, whether you are new to drawing, or looking to expand your skills in observation and portraiture.

Gabrielle Reeves is a visual artist from Wyoming. She has exhibited her work in a number of solo exhibitions including at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper WY, the Global Village Museum in Fort Collins CO, the Guray Museum in Cappadocia Turkey, and The Mildred Zahradnicek Gallery at Casper College WY. She has also taken part in numerous group shows including Yeni Hikayeler / New Stories at Istanbul Concept Gallery, Sehir Ezmesi / City Paste at Circuit Istanbul and Plastic Sanatlar / Plastic Arts at Silahtar Caravansaria in Malatya Turkey. She is also a part of several permanent collections including the Nicolaysen Art Museum WY, the Guray Museum in Cappadocia, and the University of Wyoming Campus in Laramie WY. Gabrielle currently lives in Istanbul where she works as a freelance artist.
